Villa took the lead in the first half with goals from McGinn and Dendoncker. In the second half, Erik Ten Hag’s team came back in a different gear and turned the match around with two goals from Garnacho and one from Hojlund. The Danish player broke his goal drought, scoring for the first time in the Premier League after 14 games and over 1000 minutes without finding the net. United also ended their goal drought, scoring for the first time in 439 minutes. They had gone four matches without scoring until Garnacho found the back of the net on Tuesday. With this result, United reaches 31 points and rises to sixth position in the standings. Meanwhile, Aston Villa, who had the chance to close in on the lead, sits in third place with 39 points.
